23K Covers Claims in 3 RFAs                                                                     March 21, 2013

Region 1 - Two security guards, a roving merchandiser and a promodizer, gladly took their respective monetary claims from their employers amounting to P23, 436.75.

Firstly, and foremost, Jocelyn B. Zambrano of R & B Promotions filed her RFA on January 7, 2013 for the non-payment of her 13th month pay. Initial conference on the 11th failed to materialize due to late receipt of the respondent's notice of conference. Ms. Sally Felipe represented the company on January 18, 2013. After thorough consideration of the issue at hand, the requesting party received her 13th month pay in the amount of P4, 670.75.

Secondly, guards Rodante C. Acosta and Crisanto F. Gagua, both from the province of La Union, are employed by Kingstar Security Agency. Filing their complaint on January 9th, SEADO Corpuz informed Mr. Joel Pecucan, Branch Manager at San Fernando City La Union, about the conference on the 11th.

Upon getting informed about the details of the complaint, Mr. Pecucan immediately took action on the matter at hand. He requested SEADO Corpuz to inform the requesting parties that they could get their claims on their unpaid salaries and refund of cash bond.

The Branch was informed the following morning by Mr. Acosta and Mr. Gagua that they have received their claims, P3, 066.00 and P4, 500.00, respectively.

Lastly, Rea Casem of Acao, Bauang, La Union and a promodizer employed by Goldshine Pharmaceutical, Incorporated, sought the assistance of this Office relative to the payment of her salary for the month of December 2012, 13th month pay, refund of cash bond, and her 5-day service incentive leave.

Conference was scheduled on January 21, 2013 but on the 17th, Ms Casem appeared before SEADO Corpuz and told her that she already received her monetary claims the day before in the amount of P11, 200.00.
